Bumpersnoot was a lot of fun. I loved being just a creature among other creatures and met lots of cool critters. @coyote.tel’s set made a big impact on me. I got a chance to meet & chat after. There’s a thirst for Therian art & music separate from furry & I am glad to see others being part of this.

Adjusting to the effects of 17 days alone is gonna take some time. Went out today & was a mess. Ate salad in the church labyrinth gardens, broke bread with seagulls, told a crow who came over for bread about my worries & concerns for the future. Crows are good listeners. Seagulls are good eaters.
We so often move toward wounds as doorways: the bloody, violent, creaturely moment is not erased by grace but made eternal by it. Hunger doesn’t go away; it’s woven into a kind of love.
The White Creature and the Black Wolf are in dialogue, but Nyx gathers both poles into a single body. Almost as if the covenant became incarnate.
Much of what I reach towards circles that pull, how light and dark aren’t opposites but one body. nyx is exactly that: hunger and bleeding, forgiveness and eternity, the wound and the return.

I made a companion bracket to hold two flutes. More prototypes and a jig to be made but I think I might sell this as a proper alternative to flute stands
Remember there is also the food banks. I go to one and it’s good stuff. Not just canned but fresh, nutritious and healthy. Fruit and veg. No cheese, I don’t eat meat but there are sometimes eggs. Milk, Bread, cake. The basics plus nice things. It will lighten the load until you can get established.

I always look forward to Sabbath (Fri-Sat Sunset) a time to eat slowly & simply, to rest, to enjoy creation & our labours. Have sex, meet friends, do the things that we love. The Sabbath is a subversive idea that we do not need to work for rest & that we are not made to live under any pharaoh’ yoke.
Tonight I made a thing. I haven’t found a flute holder for a microphone or cymbal stand like this anywhere. Not one that holds a wooden flute with a wireless microphone on the end of it and so I made one and it works really well and it looks pretty rad too.

I had a beautiful day today hanging out with creatures who became friends. We all sat down on a blanket in the sun making kandi. I bought enough of my teeth used on Lykaeon’s Necklace leftover to share & make a little ankle bracelet. With glass beads, teeth & stone. When done, Critter wanted one.

This is the part of Lykaeon I say: “I cursed the trees, I cursed the soil that drank my child’s blood, I cursed the ones who held the knife & the ones who just… looked away” I did two sketches playing exploring a mother’s rage expressed vs a controlled burn of hurt — feeling out a final expression.

Ive been playing Shakuhachi since 1996 but I have never had the finances to own one, then I had a house fire that these were spared from. I suspect I will find the right one on my journey when the right one meets me, but until then I have plenty of ancient instruments to be getting along with.

Critter suddenly fronted today. A 16mo young pup—she likes it there. Shift was sudden & unplanned. I was with good creatures who saw it happen, understood & got us on a bus & home safe. Slept in my den for hours. Been falling asleep on the couch on/off all day but I dreamed all day of sleeping here.
I sunbathed nude in the warm last week at Discovery Park beach and fell asleep with a friend as I held their hand. It instantly made it wholesome.
