I’m not surprised to see a white man dismiss the VERY real concerns & experiences Black Women have in the medical world. After my own negative experience last year involving a white-adjacent doctor, I’m at the point where I trust ZERO non-Black doctors. I now actively seek out Black doctors ONLY.

ONLY. It was a Black gynecologist that finally heard me out about my concerns and diagnosed me with stage 4 endometriosis! Had me in better health in less than 3 months after suffering for 25 years!

found a Black dentist, finally got questions answered that every other dentist until i was 30 shrugged about.
If it makes you feel even the slightest bit better, they don't listen much to white women, either.
It is shameful that you and others have had such bad experiences. Fortunately, there is no shortage of gifted and qualified Black physicians.

This is also true for Native Americans. I have been blown off a lot by non- native doctors. I would imagine the treatment is similar for black folk.
A Black hospitalist made sure my white mother’s final couple of days were comfortable back in 2010. His name was Otis Rounds and I will be forever grateful to him.
Whoever you are comfortable with for your medical care. We should always have a choice.
