He was actually based on Trump. Especially in the second film. I read that in a behind-the-scenes book about BTTF ages ago. I believe Zemeckis confirmed it. Even back in the 80s, the common consensus was that this guy is awful and that all hell would break loose if he were given more power.

That’s about when I started hating him. I read an article about how shitty he was as a businessman and how he kept bankrupting small businesses/contractors he used because he refused to pay them.
