Really great interview with @hannahnatanson.bsky.social, our tireless reporter covering the federal government and DOGE, on how she does her job, breaks so many scoops and the responsibility she feels to tell federal workers’ stories. (And it’s a podcast, so no paywall.)

Also, as we approach 100 days of President Trump: thanks to the readers who have come with us, and the sources who have helped us reveal the workings of this White House. We continue to report without fear or favor. No one is telling us what to write. You can judge for yourself @washingtonpost.com.

Others left WAPO because they did feel they were being told what/how to write. Ruth Marcus, for example. Eugene Robinson has described a "sharp turn." And Ann Telnaes led the defections. Former subscribers like me think Bezos must fail, and fail spectacularly. www.newyorker.com/news/essay/w...

We have no need for billionaires with dodgy ethics and weak walls between themselves and the media they own to succeed -- while angling for government contracts from the most corrupt administration in US history. The model needs to fail.
