I know we don't exactly move the needle on the GDP or whatever, but this is devastating for small art & craft businesses. Hey, do you like yarn? Do you know where your favorite dyer's yarn base comes from? How about the little bits and pieces they use to make charms, bookmarks, stuffies...?

There was a viral reddit post about a small wallet business in Australia getting shuttered. Sad news all around; it's strange to see Trump on the degrowth train but that's basically what's happening.

If this continues, then I think that whenever I run out of my current supplies, that's it. It doesn't make sense to try and restock if I have to either absorb the higher costs or pass them on to customers. But I'm in the privileged position of only doing this for fun. This will ruin people.
