Harder disagree to your hard disagree - mainly because WB has so much riding on it. Those scenarios rarely turn out well. They'll probably fuck up a sure thing with some last minute tweaks to doom the whole enterprise.

Rowling was really good at quality control when they were making the films. Since she’s also working with WB on the TV show, I just don’t see that happening. It’s not like there will be a Zack Snyder-type running roughshod over everything.

Politically, they're gonna have to figure out a way to navigate that in secret. Right now, WB treats her like a girl you hook up with but don't tell your friends. Meanwhile, she will walk right up to your friends and say "He fucked me last night. Twice." I don't see them walking that tightrope long.

They’re not going to trot her out for interviews to promote the show or anything, but I’m sure she’s contractually empowered to have as much influence on the show as she wants. The cast doesn’t seem especially perturbed by her beliefs, so it seems like most of the battle has already been won.
