phding is a completely different set of skills from remembering to eat produce if thats any help. (living in a new country is more similar to remembering to eat produce, i found it difficult but doable with support)

Interestingly I think out of doing a PhD, remembering to eat apples, and living in a different country, the option that is least intimidating to me is living in a different country.
