It really speaks to how dismal American labor standards are that most people can't even hope to have this much time off ever in their lives. Like what the fuck is wrong with America? Why are we expected to work so much? It is not necessary.

plus the additional expectation that we work sometimes even ON our days off, or at least bring a work device with us just in case. whenever I use my personal laptop while visiting my parents, even if it's a weekend or holiday, their first assumption is that I'm working. it's ridiculous!
