In a London cafe the other day where the menu had an Egg and cheese roll which had the description of "two eggs and probably too much cheddar" and I can't think of anything nicer.

I want you and @theblueststar.bsky.social to open a cafe with a 28 egg and onion roll
My daughter is vegetarian. Steve takes her skiing every Feb and this one hotel they go to in Italy often serves her 2 fried eggs on a bed of cheese slices as the veggie option. She loves it. 🤷🏻♀️
Please don’t gatekeep this cafe 😂
It was Clarnico Coffee, a super little non-profit place by the V&A East Storehouse.
Fab. Thanks. Will check it out when next there.
The storehouse is well worth a visit.
Reminds me of a pub with cheese and onion rolls kept on the bar under a glass dome. A big honk of cheddar, and thick cut onion, in a crispy cob. Advertised as *Fresh cobs*. That was true-ish. Delivered every Tuesday. Cobs would still be on the bar next Monday lunchtime.
There's still pubs near us that do that and they're magical. At least half an onion in each one 🙌🏻
Ooft, yes please!
And a big thick honk of cheddar. It's great.
With both cheese and onion looking like they've been in a room with a knife, at some stage.
Strong cheese, and cronchy , sweet Spanish onion. And a pint of Batham's. Bloody mmmmm..
COR
Probably too much sounds like a delightful amount of cheddar.
Is there such a thing as too much cheddar?
Reminds me of a Seattle restaurant. Every item had a long description except Crab Cakes: more crab, less cake.
