How long is the full route for that train and is it intended for commuters or for 'travelers'
Cascades is a state supported route that runs Eugene-Portland-Seattle-Vancouver Officially Amtrak doesn't do commuter service, but like... *looks at Hiawatha* come on...
Acela's the train for when you want to get somewhere fast.
I mean, yes, but it still seem like... underutilized space. Austere.
Looks like the same layout as the NE Regional ones
I'm struggling to find pictures that show this... the Amfleets came in several varieties & have been refurbed over the years, so it's hard to tell which pics are of the current configuration.
Oh no it was Acela down to PHL last week. Same layout, I got a double rum and coke
Cafe cars with no seats are the worst
There's been a long running issue with people camping limited cafe seating when it is provided in other equipment. The older cafes also have problems with lines. The new stock has a good amount of table seating in the regular cars that can be reserved by those that want more space.
