First answer why you believe presenting counterpoints to rhetoric works. Have you actively changed people’s minds AND behaviours? I don’t mean they agree with you but go on supporting fascism. I mean they actively stop supporting the thing in question.

Yes actually, my grandma. Still occasionally says some off the wall stuff but shes seeing whats up. My grandpa is another story. Sometimes people are just literally surrounded by that one perspective and they aren't quite able to realize their is a counter point and/or another perspective

Are you joking? I myself work in the service industry. I cant just avoid people as I am also the manager at a popular joint. I also work around kids as young as 14 on occasions. Its not only about talking it is about showing It is an example I like to set

I dont actually know for sure, but I know she voted for trump I just never asked. Yes, I cant always just avoid family in this instance Also, I do have a life in a society where I do have to interact with people with countering views than my own. I dont just go looking to talk about it

You’re not going to change the minds of the church ladies and men. Trumps policies are the opposite of Christ values and yet they actively support him- they’ve already brainwashed themselves about what they believe and why they’re voting the way they vote.
