Old superstitions probably exist in many regions and Friday does indeed often play a role. Let's hope that this Friday is different (after all it's the 15th and not the 13th...) But my thoughts are with Ukraine and I sincerely hope that it turns out better than many fear.

9:49am Wednesday, Sedona Hi Yara, Interesting Ukrainian superstitions. A few superstitions in the US: Any Friday the 13th is an unlucky day. A black cat is bad luck. (I beg to differ, as does Onyx) Onyx bird watching on her well used cat tree.

"Friday" is literally named after a woman: Frigg, the Norse goddess of marriage and prophecy. Some say the namesake is Freya, the Norse goddess of sex and magic. All good things either way!
