Дякую! Of course it may appear later in Germany. But I guess for most of my friends even though they have learned German very fast and excellent, a book like this is easier and better to ready in their native language, Yкраїнська. I try to order, let's see ... 💙💛

I love Snyder's work and need to pick this one up as well. His lecture series, the Making of Modern Ukraine, was absolutely eye opening to me. Every time I hear him speak, it's like he's speaking from such a high vantage; he seems to see everything so clearly.

I continue reading your precious letters, dear Yara, but am slower & a bit less active in answering some of them at the moment. Bloodlands is one of the books marked on my "to read" list too. This author is one of the better ways to understand how past & present are entwined.

Just to clarify. It is not the first Ukrainian edition of this book. The first one was in 2011.
