We can't keep saying we're not a serious country and continue voting celebrities into office. I'm a fan and would not disagree with anyone who says he might be good at the job, but Colbert best serves his country doing some version of what he's been doing for the last 25 years.

This is... Vexing. I am very much on the "No celebs as candidates and standard bearers until we get our house in order and produce real policy..." I don't think name recognition is the silver bullet... But... Colbert makes for a really interesting candidate.

Zelensky 2.0? Anyone serious about wooing him though probably needs to REALLY work on Colbert's spouse. I am gonna guess she has the real veto power over if he runs. If she's not on board then it'll never happen.
