She's just so miscast. I think she did the best she could, but think what Kerry Condon or Paula Malcolmson could have done with that role.

Yeah I suppose you are right. I honestly love that movie tho. It’s a gigantic mad max New York insane-fest. I shouldn’t take cheap shots at her

However, I have set on a number of occasions that I think the movie would be improved with somebody else in the DiCaprio and Diaz roles

I wouldn’t say Diaz is great, but in the scene where Leo corners her in an alley to retrieve his stolen necklace, she’s believably feral and fearless. DiCaprio did better work for Scorsese in the future, but he’s a good enough brooding counterpoint to DDL’s supreme showboating

They both have their moments But to quote a friend on a different movie, they also seem like people who know what a cell phone is

His narration probably does more harm than help, and the accent work sounds more belabored than when he’s costumed and on camera. It should get Blade Runnered for starters if they do an alt cut

I like that idea, although it would leave a number of important scenes without the historical context they need Maybe a 3rd person narration like AoE

Cameron Diaz is just too specifically pretty to be effective in that movie. Obviously not her fault! She just looks like the late 90s.

Everybody else in that movie is this insane archetype and then these two angels just exist in this world. Doesn’t make sense!

I would've preferred Colin Farrell and Angelina Jolie

Modern-day Hailee Steinfeld would have crushed this role
