Don't know about O.P., but, I think it's because of the escalation enabled by the republican party, who, at any time, can end this shitshow, but don't. They are engaged in treason. Period. Democrat creative legal wrangling is almost immediately responded to with heavier military engagement.

At some point, one of these poorly/untrained kids is going to shoot. Then it's over. There will be no capitulation, there will be no calming the masses. It'll be Civil War. It's a stop-gap at-best, to get us to the point where we are better prepared for the inevitable.

They know we will come for them. Every single republican and their moronic cult, knows justice will come with us. They have every reason to go all-in on treason, in-order to sustain their freedom from Law & Order.

Much like Like religion, republicans & maga will become increasingly more violent, the closer they get to their end.

Yes, this is certainly a viable reason! They're a desperate bunch who'll go to any lengths. And as much as I hate to say it, even though this scenario is plausible and likely, blue states still need to go all in with every bit of ammo they have.

There are also economic reasons. Blue states can’t just recreate Medicare, Medicaid, & social security. And states can’t run deficits, so in the case of a disaster the fed government is needed. States can’t create international trade deals. The list goes on….

Those are all realized if all of A) doesn't happen. I'm thinking I feel definite A) vibes from this republican crowd. They are literally begging to have the military sent to take over their cities. There's not a bridge strong enough that will make that gap.

Also, pretty-sure most people want no reconciliation with people who can't be bothered to try to learn, and especially, the same people, having such wildly variable beliefs and ideals.

This all started out because the Democrats were thought to be a child sex trafficking cabal hidden in the basement of a one-off family pizza joint, that has no basement. Now they see the cabal, they want to talk about non-existent crime waves needing military presence.

I, for one, think the best I can do for the least of them, is prison term, a payment plan so each person can begin to pay for the damages they have caused, and loss of voting privileges until they prove mentally capable of complex decisions, and ONLY after their debt to society is paid in-full.

The pessimist in me says... in the direction we're headed as a country, that's a risk I'm willing to take.

I'm shocked this hasn't happened yet. tbh.
