Me This, my Quadra 660AV, a henry of hash, underwurld dubnobasswithmyheadman and future sound of london ISDN on cd … Take me back… :)
Ive tried this game so many times and i just cant wrap my head around the puzzles.
Imagine it in the 90’s!! Utterly torture…sooooo good
🖕 this game.
Hahahaha it had quicktime video……!!! The reverb on the aounds…….. the utterly satanic puzzles …. It was the don.
This surreal pre-rendered 90s cgi island is the distilled essence of my childhood
I was a beta tester for Brøderbund and would call the project manager daily (sometimes hourly) for hints…
Need more tales… ;)
This game drove me mad. I was only 8-12? Ish when I was playing it. Pissed my dad off real bad when I solved a few of the puzzles he couldn't. Never finished it.
It was the journey….and the reverb on the sound efx. Top tier confusion and thinkery ;)
Lost a lot of sleep playing that game.
Myst - If you beat this, you obviously cheated.
I finished it without cheating.
SORCERERRRRRR!!
Discovered it through Realmyst: Masterpiece Edition. The real-time 3D probably helped a lot, because the puzzles didn’t seem too hard there.
Hated, hated, hated, hated, hated this fucking game. Hated it. Hated its lack of context, instructions, hints, and its general aura of pixelated smugness. Fuck this game into the ground.
Fade from black… Ambient Bird noise…. metallic clonk with reverb… hi its me, now you might wonder how i got here… Looks at brass circular dials, levers and dirigibal…
Hyper card just gave u the middle finger pal…
Fascinating… the very reasons why it was in fact the best ever game for me. Well at least in the early 90’s. After that I was d’riven to play its sequel. More orgasmic content to unravel. 🤩
Not trying to yuck anyone’s yum, I get that this game made a lot of people happy, otherwise we wouldn’t be talking about it 30 years later. But my personal experience was so negative, well, here we are
I think we all agree it was a bipolar-inducing beast from Brøderbund! 🤣 I picked up a passion for all things puzzling and cryptic from my mum so it was a fait accompli when it hit the shelves at the computer store I worked at. 🤷♂️
Well, I’m glad it gave you a good experience and fond memories, honestly. It gave me ptsd and a deep and abiding resentment of pointing and clicking on things. But, such is life
Oh I remember this, so much fun.
With the tower and the telescope, it's the best place to be stuck in.

Amazing ! ! ! Hahahaha
I spent hours trying to get the space ship to work. Then I gave up and looked up the solution, but I still couldn't get it to work. So I never finished the game.
I finished every other age, but that one will forever remain a mystery
I figured out the mechanics of it but couldn't ever actually make it work. My dad, who was a musician in his younger days, spent like an hour tinkering with it until he finally got it. The one and only time I've been to that Age.
