The Vulcans' main problem with humans is that if you hand them a problem you need solved, it _will_ get solved. Probably not in the way you wanted it solved, more likely in a way that makes you reach for the next bottle of Advil, but thoroughly and comprehensively solved.

Humans are deranged hyper-neophile space orcs who are a danger to themselves and others, but also, weirdly, capybaras who will befriend anyone and anything, whether they like it or not.
And this is EXACTLY why things ended up with everyone going "what IS it" at the humans and either keeping em close to study and/or monitor or nuke from orbit out of sheer frustration
