Wage growth is great and all but when the COL gap is still ~2.5x higher (or more) than the average pay increase, people aren't going to feel it. It didn't help, either, that Biden kept touting record-breaking job numbers that were misleading at best. High paying jobs got completely decimated in '24.

Define “high paying jobs”, then supply evidence that they were “completely decimated”, which indicates at LEAST a 10% decrease. We will wait.

It grew 20% in 5 years and then stayed steady until quite recently. Maybe, just fucking maybe, it’s more a reaction to overhiring. And it’s 1 in 4 who lost jobs that work in these fields, but it doesn’t say what percentage of jobs are in these fields. Because the economy didn’t add 20% more jobs.

That doesn’t change my argument in the slightest.

Decimated means, literally, one in ten. You have provided NOTHING indicating the 10% of high paying jobs disappeared. Sorry, words have meaning, and you’re just doing “Charlie Brown had hoes.”
