Pretty sure people said the same thing about Trump. It’s crazy seeing all the billionaire apologists in this thread.

I’m not apologizing for billionaires. I don’t think billionaires should exist and that kind of wealth can only be achieved by exploitation. I think people here are commenting on this specific case and how that insulation could function here, not saying billionaires are good. Also, Trump is a phony.

One important fact was Trump was a failed business man. He needed the presidency because he was bankrupt. I also agree that billionaires are bad for people and for the billionaires, too. However, history shows that there can be outliers that break the norm. Abolish citizen united is where we start.

My point stands. They both inherited their wealth, and people on the right trusted Trump more because he already had money. I like Pritzker. I just find it ironic how people seem willing to look past perhaps the biggest cause of this mess in the first place because they don't like Newsom's "vibes".

It’s not vibes that I pay attention to, it is action. Newsom has done many shady things and his record doesn’t match his words. He reminds me of a democrat trump. Self interest is number one for him. Not constituents.

I don't agree with everything Newsom has done, either. But anyone not taking the fight directly to Trump the way he has is a non-starter. People also exaggerate how bad Newsom actually is. CA has become one of the most--if not the most--sturdy sanctuary cities for LGBTQ+ under his governance.
