I am also originally from Missouri. Hellish state, should be placed under trusteeship by an Illinois-Minnesota coalition until the old Dixie elite is destroyed and they are capable of self-government.

Being from St. Louis just makes me sad. There's a lot to like about it (free museums, low cost of living, etc.) But the state is, as you said, just so hellish.

Having grown up among these people I have zero sympathy and I would love to see them get a taste of their own poisonous medicine, though I am profoundly sympathetic to the many good people living among them who would be collateral damage and a Re-Reconstruction would have to solve for that
