The left was broadly quite friendly to Biden until he started handing piles of arms to Milosevic in a kippah.

The elected left in Congress were some of Biden's biggest shooters when it came time for him to get shuffled off-stage for Harris last summer.
My take as well. The “Russia is a victim of NATO imperialism” weirdos are loud, but they’re a distinct minority and they didn’t vote for him in 2020.
(it's just that the broad left has a lot of cultural clout but not much electoral clout on a nationwide scale, as you know)
I'm sure that there are leftists who never gave Biden credit for pulling out of Afghanistan but even hate sinks like the Chapo hosts were defending him in the summer of 2021. He did get that credit, in a way he didn't for the drone drawdown, but he set it on fire for Netanyahu.
Some of the "anti-war movement" people gave him no credit, but like, progressive veterans groups and the broader movement left orgs were all on board with "our expectations were low but damn has he cleared them" until October 7's aftermath.
There's an old tweet of mine talking about how all the things I said in support of the biden admin turned to ash in my mouth as he kept signing off on arms shipments
And notably, the antiwar movement is historically and currently not actually a left-wing formation in any real way. It's always had large segments that are libertarian and/or fascist.
Eh, that depends *very* much on what parts of the left you're talking about. But you are right that the left was one of the few places that would actually defend Biden on the withdrawal when almost everyone else was slagging him.
