Yeah, my experience with conservatives, whether they started out disliking me or liking me, is that they probably most dislike liberalism for appearing "weak" (besides unconscious misgoyny, racism, etc.) whereas I'll argue democratic socialism and it gets more skeptics on board because I'm sincere.

My 90 year old grandmother was just telling me she still remembers how to swear in Finnish because the the Finns did the same type of mining my family came over from Ireland to do so they ended up in the same mining town
