This close to the end of this experience I’m not concerned about dying, I’m fortunate to be in a place & time where my death will likely be uneventful, it won’t be in war, starving. I’m not a child, it won’t scare me. I won’t be in prison or wounded. I will have choice of an exist strategy.

I’m a retired nurse, I’ve been with my husband, father, mother & brother when they died. I’ve been with patients as well. The remorse I feel is how I’m leaving the place. How we are leaving the place. What a mess.
