I love Maui, have experienced driving out of winter and into the warm green of Florida, have San Francisco, the Grand Canyon, Washington and the Smithsonian on my bucket list, so I’m grieving the loss of that too. Am newly retired and now have the time, but not the desire to risk visiting…2/5
…at a time when it seems likely that civil unrest of the citizens will be necessary to overcome the lawlessness of the government. I am also so sad for those Americans, good people, who voted for the sane choice and now have to deal with the fallout and those who caused it. 3/5
When, if, things are safe and good again in the U.S. and I am not so old that I can’t visit, I hope to cross a few things off my bucket list there. In the meantime it’s a beautiful consolation that I’ll be able to fill my soul with visits to wonderful places here in Canada. 4/5
I hope that some of our southern neighbours can visit when they need a timeline refresh. I hope that we welcome them with compassion into our beautiful land and that they can get a break from their worries. They have a long fight ahead of them. 5/5
