Have people seen the movie Manifesto, where Cate Blanchett recites manifestos about art for 90 minutes? An odd one but parts of it are visually stunning, and (old news I know, but I just watched her for that long) but her screen presence is so captivating.
The bit where she does Dogme 95 as an elementary teacher is incredible. Her "teacher voice" is SPOT ON.

It’s amazing. I was lucky enough to see it in Berlin and each different character was on a different screen and it was all going on simultaneously. Thank you for this memory.

Also, those were were the creepiest puppets I've ever seen. For those for whom this'll mean something, the funeral dada scene, the alien ballet scene, & the Jim Jarmush classroom scene were real highlights.

I saw it at the Hirschhorn. I wasn't expecting much, but the different acts shown as multiple screens as you move through the exhibit were amazing. I found myself moving back and forth and rewatching segments.
I saw it as an exhibition in Sydney/ art gallery of NSW in 2016 and I think about different scenes regularly. Powerful stuff.

Ah, how was the experience of the exhibition? Apparently the movie is a different (and shorter) cut of the exhibition segments.
It was incredible as an exhibit! Each manifesto is a different length (if I recall correctly) and runs on a loop but occasionally all the Cates sync up and it’s the wildest thing.
ok that explains a lot! it was super interesting, definitely I imagine it was a bit more disorienting as a film because the different spaces allowed us to lock in on each manifesto as its own thing. definitely overwhelming though — i didn’t even get close to watching most of each one
