First Cronenberg I saw at the theater was Scanners in 1981. My friends and I were 13. We were enthralled, lol. Recently watched on MAX/TCM and it's just as I remembered.

Not sure I can say I'm a fan. He's a fkn weirdo lol This movie was not as awful/gross as I was anticipating. I couldn't tolerate Videodrome or Naked Lunch bc they were too gross. I did like The Fly tho even tho it's also gross af lol
