Suggestions from someone who lived 20 years in Chicago 1) per our Constitution voters in Illinois + city of Chicago chose elected officials who are responsible for schools roads policing etc; you and I, voters elsewhere, chose federal officials who are responsible for Medicare + nuclear weapons

3) imo Pritzker is not "defying" anybody He's doing his job 4) search Wikipedia for"crime in Chicago"; it's down a lot since I lived there decades ago, but I might avoid the listed areas with higher murder rates
I always avoid high crime areas if possible. They need to add an option to Google Maps or Waze to avoid high-crime areas when stopping for gas.
