If someone wanted a private cleaner, they could pay them as much as they wanted. They could also pay a private doctor as much as they wanted. It would be more relevant if NHS cleaners were paid more than NHS doctors, which I do not believe to be the case. It’s misleading and unhelpful.

Nobody ever said that NHS cleaners are paid as much as doctors. In fact, that is another scandal altogether. We won’t go into that now but annular workers keep the NHS going and are often from overseas and paid very low wages.
