If someone wanted a private cleaner, they could pay them as much as they wanted. They could also pay a private doctor as much as they wanted. It would be more relevant if NHS cleaners were paid more than NHS doctors, which I do not believe to be the case. It’s misleading and unhelpful.

I don’t get this. Loads of people with more well paid jobs than cleaners earn less than very 1st year resident doctors. My partner included. I don’t earn much more and I’m 46 years old, and definitely earn more than a cleaner.
