Misgendering someone is bad, yes. I don’t care whether they’re cis or trans. It does, however, due to how society poses cis as default, take on an extra layer of badness when done to trans people because it is part of how we are degendered or regendered in an attempt to corral us back into cisness.

do you believe that misgendering affects cis people more than trans people?

No, I can understand that even though I've used the term for anyone in the past, it could be perceived as a denial of pronouns to a trans person, and that that isn't a concern for cis people. If I referred to cis Bob with a "they" in the past, no one thought anything of it and neither did I.

this is how you sound: "no. I don't think cis people are affected more by misgendering than trans people, I just didn't get called out for misgendering a cis guy named Bob compared to when I misgendered my trans cousin, so cis people aren't concerned about being misgendered, unlike you trans people"

Nobody would ever think I was denying Bob was a cis man. In my entire life, if someone wanted to misgender a cis person, they would refer to them with their opposite pronouns. Calling a boy a girl and vice versa. Or "it," perhaps some others. If I say, "they're such a stinker" nobody would blink.

again, that's in your experience as a cis person who is surrounded by cis people.

Ooh you're getting so close to understanding why I used it once talking about my cousin. Because I was treating her like any other person.

because you talk and act like a transphobic cis person who doesn't know any trans people irl aside from one family member, so you don't know how to refer to her without misgendering her. I've known this from the start. I got it. don't worry.

Well when you sit in your own kewl kidz bubble online, don't be too terribly surprised when others don't know all the rules you're coming up with. Or call them all transphobic I guess and see how that works out.

"kewl kidz bubble" hey, english major! do you think I listen to Kidz Bop? I think you've been listening to too much Kidz Bop. reading the spelling of "Kidz" in Kidz Bop is negatively affecting your ability to spell words just because you have every Kidz Bop CD doesn't mean that I have any. I don't
