It’s special to me because it opens the album, and that was the first album of theirs I ever bought. I was 11 years old and Fascination Street was on MTV all the time. I still remember buying the tape at a gas station on a reservation in Arizona while my family was on our way to the Grand Canyon.

I saw them live at an outdoor venue for that tour. I was just a kid. They opened the concert with that song, and the moment the windchimes started, the sky broke open, and it started to pour rain. I mean, it was gross and cold and such, but also transcendent. One of my favorite music memories.

I think my favorite album rotates every couple of years, but if it's not a kishi bashi album, it's almost certainly a cure album
