If my house can stay toasty warm on a 10kW heat pump, then perhaps the 24kW heat only boiler it replaced was overkill.

Am fascinated to see how low one can push these things - I wonder how many houses have 10+ kW of power burning that is totally unnecessary?

A 10kW heat pump is 10kW of heat output, and at max output it is consuming 3kW of electricity and magically finding the other 7kW from sub zero air outside in winter.

I find even in the depths of winter where it gets down to -8 overnight, it is still keeping my home at 20 degrees for a little over 3kW of electricity but 10kW of output.
