She asked the executioner if the blade was sharp. He replied with something like, "Very sharp, my lady." She was terrified of being beheaded, and especially terrified that it would be agony.
Did knowing that the blade was indeed very sharp calm her down?
(What a question to ask about a woman who didn't want to be Henry's queen, didn't want to die, and who was innocent of all charges against her -- guilty only because she couldn't bear Henry a son.)
