Everything comes back to lockdowns somehow, doesn’t it? These poor people who have no idea how hard life can actually be, just whining. I worked for DSS, then Centrelink for a lot of my life. Not much you could tell me about abuse. No sexual harassment laws, EAP was new and frowned upon.

Customer service is not for the faint hearted. Could get very scary at times. I've been screamed at, spat at, threatened. "I'll remember your face if I see you in the street bitch." "If you were a bloke I'd job you." Years ago now but I've not forgotten. Anyway, I'm retired 4yrs so that's behind me.

Oh that’s awful. I had a guy threaten to stab me with a knife he had hidden so only I could see it. Plenty of screaming and spitting. Been walked to my car so many times by security because “customers” were waiting outside the building. I’ve been out 12 years but these things stay with you.

I hold on to the fact most customers were fine and polite but yes you do remember the truly horrible and scary ones.
