I read that excellent book as well. The Thing, Blade Runner, Tron, all considered flops in their day, have all since had remakes and sequels.

It's a good list: Young Doctors in Love outperforming Blade Runner. Zapped! beating The Thing by six spots. The Toy edging out Tron. Porky's actually beating out The Wrath of Khan.
