Newsome has provided some comic relief but Pritzker is the one acting like a BOSS. As much as I would love to see him run for POTUS we need him here in IL to hold the line against the downstate MAGA-adjacent loonies that currently want to secede from the rest of the state because "too liberal".

It really is strange how many publications are tripping over themselves lately to praise Newsom for doing the bare minimum in pushing back against Trump. "See the incredible politician that has a spine! Gaze in awe as he sometimes says "no" and doesn't acquiesce!"

I don't want him as president either. But he's playing his role right now to perfection. Democrats need to start fighting dirty, and he's finally doing so. If more of these feckless dems see there is political benefits to fighting dirty here, then maybe we finally get to see more of it.

And yes, as many have pointed out, JB Pritzker continues to do great work and is willing to say the blunt, direct things that WAY too many Democrats are unwilling or unable to say. He deserves more credit too. I don't know why Newsom's is playing better. But that it's happening is what matters most.

Newsom goading trump and attracting attention to trump’s failing grasp of reality. Compare it to what Pritzker is doing as a governor. His strategy is effective, longer lasting and earning him chits from Dems from other states that are valuable to say, someone running for president.
