I was about to make a comment on folks trying to claim they were grunge back then and look at this: Google excerpt vs Actual Wikipedia. Clearly the argument rages on.

Ha ha. Definitely post-grunge. The reason the label went for them is clearly that Gav sounds roughly Cobain-Eddie Vedder adjacent.
