I'm curious about "of course oregano"; is there a particular cuisine you're drawing from where it's a staple?

My grandmother was from Greece, I sometimes forget not everyone puts it in everything. But especially, I suppose because of the feta, it's Greek leaning. I feel like these scones are a grand combo of my Greek/Scots American mutt culinary heritage
Yeah I was thinking it might be Greek! I'm half-Iranian so dill & feta pings Iranian to my brain, and we don't use oregano much, but of course there was a lot of cuisine exchange.
I bet you'd like my pistachio flower scones with rose water, pistachios, hibiscus flowers, and cardamom. I cut them with a big flower cookie cutter, and glaze with a pink rose water icing. So stinking cute and delicious!
Some of my favorite flavors!
So much outstanding food from that area! I am glad they all exchanged when they weren't busy fighting lol
