Awesome news, but no parking at all? Room for 80 people and families, and everyone just has to find street parking somewhere, in an area that already has pretty crowded curbs? That'll be fun. :p

I prefer this over a parking lot, absolutely. And maybe there are more people who have gone totally carless than I think. But I also won't be shocked if they have trouble filling units because street parking in Wallingford is already a hassle.

Sure, if all they do is go to work or places on a bus line--and don't mind it always taking 2-3x longer to get anywhere. Don't get me wrong, I'm all about transit, but transit doesn't get you everywhere and it doesn't run all the time--and sometimes it breaks down or is full at awkward moments.

Kind of a chicken and egg thing though right - we need to encourage transit use, better services, etc. so either the city has to commit pre-demand (unlikely) or we build things that create demand and the city responds

It's a strategy, but I don't think you can--or even should--do away with personal vehicles entirely. They provide a level of utility and personal freedom that shouldn't be the exclusive purview of homeowners with garages. There's a middle ground to be found somewhere IMO.
