“The now undisputed Biden decline"--ha ha, look at this guy trying to make his narrative the default by pretending it's what everyone thinks. IMO, by next year more people are going to miss Biden's verbal gaffes when they have an actual declining POTUS calling the shots. :p

Agreed. We knew SCOTUS was pursuing a "unitary executive" policy, but I didn't expect Congress to give up its power so readily and so quickly. Hell, I didn't expect Rubio to contort himself into the shape he's in now, standing on the rubble of the USAID with that sickly smile on his face.

Having said that, I'm also a pragmatist: as you say, we have to figure out the new rules, like them or not. I'm more in favor of a panel of experts that can share results with affected states, but of course, someone has to pay for that.

The issue is, any "analysis" the LLMs do is based on predictive modeling, not actually understanding what's there. So yes, you could get results in minutes--but then you'd have to have your experts crawl through it to validate them, in case a particular reg got a bunch of downvotes on Reddit.

Build denser. Add bike lanes. More fast transit. Create walkable envrionments. All of that and more. But cars have a place in that world too, and creating solutions that ignore that reality is not, IMO, a path that is viable in the long term.

Your reality is subjective. Due to eyesight issues I've gone without driving my whole life: while it is certainly possible to get by without a car (at least in the city), I am more limited in my options than those who can drive. Ignoring that reality risks building solutions people will resist.

The hairs of my arm just stood up. That's money right there. The only thing is, who does the audience root for?

I live in hope. That, and one day actually finding a hidden cave behind a waterfall.

Oh man, I've only had it once and that was enough. I didn't feel like eating anything but broth for almost two days--hang in there!

I no longer live in the area, but I'm still thrilled to see "Pinehurst Station" getting prioritized--that area was always a great hub for transit, and being able to zip straight to Nothgate and beyond will be awesome for the folks still there.

I bet if it were daylight it would be harder to tell how successful it was--but still, that was frickin' pinpoint accuracy.

Now this is someone who committed to the bit. Anytime the uber rich can flaunt their wealth while employing a whole lot of artists and tradespeople, they should do it.

Back in the 80's, Scarcella's Pizza in Temecula was my benchmark (we weren't big enough to have a Pizza Hut). Crust almost but not quite overdone, toppings piled high, soda served in pitchers, Defender, Qix, and PacMan to eat your quarters...It's been 40-ish years and I still miss that pie.

It does look more energetic than just a lithium battery explosion--but a LBE right next to a trunk of fireworks would qualify as a spectacular piece of bad luck for the driver if that's what happened.

Pace yourself, 2025--that's a little too on the nose right out the gate.

I'm going to assume your reporter did their research and notes that this is a change in keeping with the industry in general, and not some path D&D is blazing.

Good news for the most part, but imagine: we could have had someone capable in charge of FEMA under Trump, versus whoever gets selected in his place.

We don't know what will happen. We know what they want to happen, but we don't know how much they can actually get done. Just take it day-by-day, and take a step back if you have to--there's nothing we can do right now but brace, and take care of ourselves and our loved ones.

Yeah! That's supposed to be the tradeoff: you attack less often, but when you hit it's big news--otherwise you might as well just carry a shield if you're tanking. It's why I mostly used big sword builds in Conan Exiles.

Man, memories really are short--if anything, Trump violated pardon norms and Biden is a pale imitation of those excesses.
