Well, and we had years of people clamoring for "More Star Wars--MOAR STAR WARS!" to the point where they got so much they could start being picky about it. :p

Just a little. Also they, like all other studios, didn’t expect covid to blow everything up like it did. You can adjust to a downward or fluctuating trend. You can’t adjust (easily) to a bomb lobbed into the machine all at once
The thing is, COVID initially *worked* for D+, people forget that the service SURGED early and overtook Netflix. "Wandavision" and "Animal Crossing" were THE early-lockdown media phenoms. It didn't sustain.
The data is still all over the map. The 3rd highest watched Marvel show is "MOON KNIGHT" and *nobody* can explain either how or what they're doing with it.
Wait, of ALL the Marvel shows, “Moon Knight” is the #3 most watched?! I feel like everyone trashed and hated it when it came out. That’s so surprising. 🤯
Well before that Daredevil finale I would have said they'll never do MK cutting the face off thing from the comics. Now I'm not so sure.
He did what? 0_0 looks like it’s time to watch it
Yeah, comics Moon Knight is a lot closer to The Punisher than most Marvel characters.
Oh that I’m aware. Been reading Jed Mackay’s unusually long run on the character. Just saying sounds like daredevil the show goes nuts.
Yeah there's a bit of violence that rivals modern Mortal Kombat fatalities and the Terrifier movies. This show goes hard.
Oh yeah, that was a thing that happened. Moon Knight has more interpretations than he does personalities, and even more canceled runs.
Bendis is the worst run.
Nah, I know it gets a bad rap, but that's because it's not really a Moon Knight story. It's part of that weird time when they tried to make him work in the wider Marvel Universe. Like when he was on the Secret Avenger's for some reason.
Fair and I’m not in the business at all so I won’t claim to know an actual damn thing. The only thing apparent to me is there were problems that were always gonna be problems down the line that covid kind of seemed to force to the front all at once.
