Huh, you're right. I kept reading his approval rating was historically low for the honeymoon period, but you're right, it seems his job approval rating had gone up since his term started. That's crazy on a mass scale. Too many Americans just want to see this country go down in flames.

Sad, but true! * On a REGIONAL basis, the pollsters used to see very different approval ratings when CULTURAL issues involved political ploys * Now there seems less difference between regional and class fault lines than in previous administrations * Less support for Constitutional solutions

It seems we're repeating history. Last pandemic, 1918, fearful and confused people turned to strongmen to lead them and tell them what to do. The result: Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Francisco Franco, Mussolini, etc. Anyone with a basic grasp of history know the human toll those "leader" wrought.

The “Long War” from 1914-1945 lasted so long and gave birth to those strongmen because the underlying causes of WWI were NOT addressed: 1) Ethic hatred’s 2) Revanchist territory desires 3) Profound economic inequities 4) Desire for responsive political structures

Absolutely! * The cherry on the sundae in 1920s was the way Chase bankers supported Germany and Japan’s economy; then at the Crash pulled all financing, leading to dominance of the militarists. * It took until FDR to recognize Soviets, who would cooperate if we stoped Japanese or supported Czechs
