Jamaal Charles really is my pick for the best RB to ever play. The way he loved laterally while accelerating - never seen that before or since.

I am sure his romantic partners appreciated the lateral love, but I don't think that should be relevant to this debate.
Love making should absolutely be one of the criteria we use to evaluate RBs. I always thought Eddie George would excel in this area.
100% agree. I describe my love making style as 3 yards and a cloud of dust. Real grinder, never had the lateral and explosiveness.
I lol’ed
The John Riggins of love making. Maybe not making the highlight reels, but extremely effective and reliable.
Won me one ring.
Lateral Love was the name of my pedal steel-based Golden Earring cover band.
I, too, stan a Chiefs running back who single-handedly carried his fantasy team (mine is Priest Holmes)
Larry Johnson
The Holy Trinity. 🙏🏼
Thomas Jones be damned
Lateral lovin' was what made Todd Haley loathe him so much
I love to love laterally
He was fun to watch, but he did fumble quite a bit and sometimes at the very wrong time lol Barry or Erik for me and im a Chiefs fan.
I also love laterally
Jamaal Charles from 2008-2018 was the *only* running back in the NFL to have a positive rush expected points added (EPA). Some are saying he's the only good RB of the 2000s.
Not to dismiss Charles but let's face it he was a poor man's Marshall Faulk. Also not on this list.
Have you considered that Derrick Henry, the larger of the 2 RBs, can simply eat Jamaal Charles?
Jamal Charles was great. But B Sanders is the best I ever saw.
also if you like bad stats he's the all-time leader in ypc for rbs
Clunky stat, I know, but Charles averaged 6.4 yard per carry in 2010 ... on 230 carries! Ludicrous stuff.
70 first downs lol
90 for Foster. Wild year.
Man, 30yo Vick. You can’t overestimate his talent. When did y/a become a clunky stat?
There are more accurate ways to measure RB efficiency. EPA, success rate, rush yards after contact, rush yards over expected, all that nerdy stuff.
Y/A is still much better than just yards or worse TDs. For a first order stat I can calculate in my head, it’s pretty good. None of those you could keep track of by hand watching a game.
Very curious that you're cherry picking stats for a RB who scored fewer fantasy points than Peyton Hillis
You monster (good to see you on here)
Buddy,,,, I'm just reading the only leaderboard that matters
Did he score 50 pts for you in the playoffs too? Permanent soft spot for that guy.
5+ yards a carry!
