Pressure to sack rate is very sticky from college to the pros. Burrow's rate has always been disastrously high. It's not that the offensive line doesn't protect him, it's that Burrow refuses to get rid of the ball. And he's gonna miss basically three full seasons because of that.

I don't think this is a hot take but it felt like one this summer as everyone was putting Burrow on the same level as Allen, Mahomes, and Lamar, and that was just always crazy. This is like the exact thing those other three DON'T do.

Allen was sacked on 9 percent of his pressures last year. That's truly insane.
For all the hagiography of those three from anyone associated with the league, it feels disrespectful to have ever put Burrow with them. In fact, wouldn't you rather have Hurts? Just straight up? And there's at least 4 others who would not be insane either to rank above him? I don't know.

Daniels needs to prove it IMO. Anyone can pop a single season (understand he's a rookie). Stafford is clearly better. Herbert is as good and no injuries. Goff ... ehhh but honestly is Burrow just CLEARLY so much better or a winner? Again, maybe so but is Burrow CLEARLY better than those dudes?

He also plays like a guy who thinks he's a lot more mobile and durable than he is, which probably worked and was more true vs college players than it is in the NFL.
