Closes down the width of the Green's appeal, pulls for the same pool as your party. Far less seats at risk - and a far easier politican to attack leading them

Are you prone to wishful thinking? The majority of people will never hear of Polanski even if he is louder than previous leaders, attacks won't register because Starmer is so unpopular, they are 2nd to labour in a whole bunch of seats potentially open to his messaging.

What happens if they form a pact with your party? Starmer is significantly less popular than at the election when his own majority halved, labour will have way less money, way more baggage. If greens target those labour city seats, what's stopping them?

From a political perspective those seats are already in danger; Polanski doesn't particularly change the maths there. What he does do is reduce their appeal to a broader electorate and mean that the Greens will have a impact in less seats + less breadth in their coalition

but also he will get more media attention...which might pull in more votes for Greens?

This is the mistake people on twitter and pundits make. Even with a higher profile the majority of the public won't know who he is. Ed Davey has and will continue to have a much higher profile, but a lot of the public won't know him.

Plus the talking about the greens losing their mass appeal is silly after they just had there best ever election result of winning 4 seats. I'm sure they can handle being a bit more polarised if it means being more focused

yes, but they have an electoral coalition...conservative/rural types, and urban lefty types...and the former might get put off by Polanski.

I think the term hypnoboobs may lodge in the public conciousness

Only if Polanski thinks really hard

I think the big danger is that as a minor party leader, this will be the one thing people can remember about him.

Shouting the word boob's at sun readers can only be a good thing for Polanski. It's about rhe only thing they understand and actually like .
