This. He really does. Stop putting out tweets and saying shite to show how tough he is on illegal migration etc., that just helps feed the divisions at same time as pissing off labour's liberal base even more. It is a terrible self defeating strategy that isn't helping anything or anyone.

yeah, but Farage is definitely leading on it. He sets the narrative. But, also this is an issue affecting lots of countries in europe that needs resolving.

Yes probably for some, but at same time there will be some who won't like a hotel in their town being used to house them.

I think some people don't like local hotels being used to house them, can't pretend that this might not be true. They need to be processed quicker so hotels don't need to be used.

I'd prefer someone rather than Starmer...Rayner might be popular within labour but not so much across the country, and not sure if Burnham can or wants it. But also, a new leader might help Reform more in that they can same same old chaos, just like Tories before them etc.

Well the people coming in on small boats bothers a lot of people. It needs some sort of solution. But yes Labour never criticised the Tory Rwanda plan because inhumane, they just said it wouldn't work.

I wouldn't be surprised if ECHR got rewritten anyway, and we'll start denying asylum to anyone arriving here on small boats. The big problem then becomes what do you do with people who do still arrive
