You should give the Republicans a second look, I think you’d like Christian Nationalism more than you think.
Alex, we're not going out of our way to save a bunch of fucking rural Nazis who voted themselves out of hospitals because they wanted to destroy anything more culturally enlightened than a Buc-Ee's rest stop from their own choices. Because we aren't in a union with them and we never will be.
From an electoral perspective, I believe that doing everything we can to offer better material conditions is the only way to counter the propaganda machine. From a personal perspective, I will never voluntarily accept living in a system where closing hospitals is the only option available.
Hey guess what, this was the platform of our last presidential contender. The people we are not in a union with and who are in fact waging a cultural and fiscal war on us rejected it because they were tired of having to pretend they gave a shit about the lives of humans besides themselves.
Also, I’m not going to continue replying, only because Bluesky has labeled you as “rude” (very silly feature in my opinion) which means I need to manually click through every post to get here and that’s getting really annoying to do.
You can disable that in moderation settings.
There is nothing you can say that will convince me that we shouldn’t make an effort at the state level to backfill all hospital operational funds lost due to Medicaid cuts.
Welp, good luck on your quest for a magic lamp.
