Aw, thank you! I really love to talk about them. These little pals became my social circle during the pandemic when I didn’t want to go anywhere. They have been wonderful company. 🥰

It sounds you have gotten to know them pretty well and vice versa. I'm happy you have them to distract you from the horror that is our government. I sometimes worry about you because I know you follow the news closely. It can suck the joy out of you if you're not careful.

That’s exactly what I was telling someone earlier today, when she said current events were making her feel exhausted. We need something that makes us smile and laugh no matter what is going on, and my backyard pals do that for me, every day.

I’ve also frankly had some nice times in life but plenty of hard times and tragedies, and been through a lot of things with people I care about or loved. It gives perspective. I am horrified by what is going on politically and the terrible effects from it, and I expect it to get worse.

But it’s not as if I haven’t had to go through scary times in the past. By now, in old age, it’s not just my own experiences that I remember, but also what I’ve been through with others. Perspective. Lots of people in many places have a much harder road. We will get through this. ❤️
