I love that the nearly-immortal Adam settles in Detroit to explore his music. I was reminded of this today as I read Jack White’s spot-on description of Trump. That city and its music and musicians have enriched this country immeasurably and it will always hold a special place in my heart.

In a scene from Only Lovers Left Alive, Eve (Tilda Swinton) and Adam (Tom Hiddleston) embrace each other in a Detroit bar. Eve is wearing a white jacket and has platinum blonde hair. Adam has long brown hair and is wearing a brown jacket. Both are wearing dark glasses and it’s a dark bar scene. There are windows behind them, with blinds that are open but it’s dark on the other side, though the background light is blue.
